I read about it all the time. I know it to be true in my heart and mind. And, in fact, I’ve felt it personally on the rare occasions that I’ve experienced it. Working out in the morning will give you a boost of energy to start your day.

I just can’t seem to get my tired butt out of bed when that alarm on my phone goes off.

I actually have a daily reminder on my phone to workout, set for 5:45 a.m. It hasn’t been very successful. I don’t even need an alarm clock, that’s the irony in this situation. My internal alarm clock wakes me up somewhere in the late 5:00 hour, no matter what time I go to bed. But even though I’m awake, I’m just too tired to roll out of bed.

Even changing up the wording on alert doesn’t help. “WORKOUT” in all caps. Nope. “Workout!” with an exclamation point. No success there either. I’ve even surrounded it with exclamation points: “!! Workout !!” but that just looks like a silly expression.

All throughout the day, I wish I would work out more. The only time I don’t is the only time I have readily available, and that’s in the morning. Such is my life.
