C.S. Lewis, on humility

Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.

C.S. Lewis, theologian and author

Humility is a wonderful trait for everyone to possess. Pride is a sin and to put yourself above others is a major problem we experience in our world. Obviously, you need to take care of your health and fulfill your needs in life. But to step over other people to get what you want and to think so highly of yourself that you lose sight of the ground beneath you is a troubling notion.

However, let’s define what humility really is. It’s not necessarily belittling yourself and putting yourself down, rather, it’s being able to admit faults and remembering there is more to this life than yourself.
